
The EMEA SAP Solution Architect will work closely with Product Owners, HR stakeholders, implementation partners, and support teams to ensure:
stable live service operations
well-designed and governed enhancements
secure and scalable integrations
an effective roadmap for ongoing system evolution
SuccessFactors & Payroll Solution Design
Own and support solution design across SAP SuccessFactors, with particular focus on:
Employee Central
Employee Central Payroll
Time and attendance integrations
organisational management and position structures
workflow and approvals
employee lifecycle processes
Provide architectural guidance on system configuration, data structures, security roles, and process design
Ensure all changes align with SAP best practice and global design principles
Support solution decisions relating to localisation requirements across multiple EMEA countries
Payroll Architecture & Integration
Lead solution design for Employee Central Payroll
Support payroll process design, including:
pay components
pay structures
country-specific payroll requirements
interfaces to local payroll vendors where applicable
payroll controls and reconciliations
Work closely with HR, Finance, and external payroll providers to ensure accurate data flow and process integrity
Support integrations between SuccessFactors and downstream payroll / finance applications
Product & Change Support
Partner with Product Owners to shape the HR systems roadmap
Translate business requirements into solution designs and functional specifications
Support backlog refinement and impact assessments
Participate in release planning and change governance
Live Service & Continuous Improvement
Support complex BAU issues and escalations
Provide design input into root cause analysis and long-term fixes
Support bi-annual SAP releases and payroll upgrades
Identify opportunities for process simplification and automation
Stakeholder & Vendor Collaboration
Work closely with:
HR leadership
Finance teams
in-country HR/payroll teams
AMS partners
implementation partners
Support knowledge transfer and governance with third-party vendors
Ensure technical documentation and solution designs are maintained
Technical Skills & Experience Essential
Strong hands-on experience with SAP SuccessFactors, particularly:
Employee Central
workflows and business rules
foundation objects
role-based permissions
integrations and data architecture
Strong experience with SAP Employee Central Payroll
Good understanding of:
payroll schemas
wage types / pay components
payroll control processes
country-specific payroll requirements
Experience designing and supporting HR system integrations
Strong understanding of HR master data structures and governance
Experience working in a multi-country or global SAP environment
Highly Desirable
Experience with:
SAP CPI / Integration Suite
middleware and API integrations
HR reporting and analytics
SuccessFactors release management
testing strategy (UAT, regression, payroll parallel runs)
Experience supporting M&A onboarding or legal entity changes within SAP HR systems
