We are currently looking for an ERP Senior functional expert in Controlling domain

Main responsibilities:

  • Perform functional and technical architecture analysis, research, design, and development of functionalities, including integration with key applications, in an SAP ecosystem.
  • Contribute to architecture design reviews, to the product roadmap and product strategy definition in their area.
  • Develop a solid understanding of Opella business processes and strategy through collaboration and regular engagement with key users and process owners.
  • Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, break high-level requirements into details, and distinguish user requests from underlying needs, translating these into documented architecture solutions.
  • Document systems and process requirements through meetings, workshops, site visits, and job shadowing.
  • Collaborate with the development team to develop, configure, and implement the solution as per the product development standards to meet business requirements.
  • Support development team with resolution of blocking issues and interdependencies and provide them architecture and design guidance.
  • Collaborate with other architects, business analysts and external consultants to ensure end-to-end process integration and consistency, ensuring coverage of operational, statutory, and legal requirements.
  • Business continuity comes first: in the event of a crippling incident stopping business operations, able to manage the resolution as highest level of support within the company in their field.
  • Ensure BAU & efficient WoW with ERP Support Team and Platform team on the business continuity & incident management. Ensure system is well documented & documentation is maintained up to date.
  • Ensure continues improvement & strategic enhancement of controlling ERP capabilities in aligment with business through change requests and BVPs (business value project)
  • Support & contribute to Transformation roadmap in the horizon of 2027- 2030 where Opella will be moving towards 1 ERP strategy across the globe. Drive transformation for controlling ERP

About you:

Profile

  • 8+ years doing ERP delivery in a business-oriented context, preferably in an FMCG global company for SAP controlling modules especially in the following modules:

    • Material ledger (ML)

    • Product costing (CO-PC)

    • Profitability analysis (COPA)

    • Cost center (CO-OM) and profit center accounting

    • Budgeting and cost planning,

    • Actual cost allocation cycles (assessments & distributions)

    • Manufacturing cost flow understanding (production variances, settlement, overheads)

  • Strong knowledge of SAP controlling integration point with following modules:

    • SAP FI

    • SAP MM and PP

    • SAP SD

    • SAP PS

  • Broad experience in implementing and maintaining SAP modules in their respective areas

  • Strong experience in supplementing or maintaining SAP solution for FMCG company.

  • Solid knowledge of integration topics & interfaces. It will be a plus experience in transfer prices tool, finance performance tool - TM1, consolidation, SAP FC.

  • Solid communication and engagement skills, both written and verbal

  • Solid configuration experience, ability to determine when to use configuration vs. code as well as good troubleshooting skills

  • Ability to translate functional specifications into technical design documents, provide efforts and cost estimates, and manage delivery the desired functionality

  • Maintain good level of quality while working on complex problems under pressure and deadlines

  • Project management experience; continuous improvement skills and mindset

  • Experience with multi-geography, multi-tier service design and management.

  • Deep understanding of Application and technology Architecture.

  • Knowledge of SAP S/4 HANA is important

  • Knowledge of agile ways of working is a plus

  • Knowledge of current ERP software trends in their area of expertise

  • Languages Strong written & verbal communication in English. French is a plus, but not mandatory.
