To support this mission, Syngenta’s Enterprise Application Team is seeking a ERP Senior Functional Analyst – Supplyin Pune.

This role partners with Supply Operations to translate business needs into clear functional requirements and solution designs for SAP delivery. The position focuses on SAP MM and intercompany processes, supporting enhancements and ongoing application maintenance in Agile/DevOps ways of working. Experience with SAP GTS is a plus.

Accountabilities:

  • Partner with Supply Operations to capture, refine, and document requirements (e.g., user stories) and translate them into functional specifications.
  • Design and support SAP MM solutions (configuration, documentation, and functional guidance) aligned to business and compliance needs.
  • Support end-to-end delivery activities including testing (unit/integration/UAT), defect triage, deployment readiness, and go-live/hypercare support.
  • Facilitate workshops and working sessions with business and IT stakeholders; contribute to gap analysis and process improvement.
  • Support incident and change delivery in an Agile/DevOps environment; coordinate with technical teams and external partners to validate scope, estimates, and outcomes.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (or equivalent) from an accredited university.
  • 6–10 years of experience in SAP MM implementation and/or support (industry experience in chemical/process/agri is helpful).
  • At least two full-cycle SAP MM implementations, including S/4HANA.
  • Working knowledge of ECC and S/4HANA covering P2P, STO, cross-company-code and intercompany processes, including related master data.
  • Understanding of SAP MM integration with WM, PP, QM, SD, and FI.
  • Experience with testing cycles (unit/integration/UAT), end-user training, and go-live/project support.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills, including working across regions and with cross-functional teams.

Desired Qualifications:

  • MBA in Operations/Supply Chain (or equivalent).
  • Experience with SAP GTS (Compliance/Customs), SAP Fiori (standard/custom), and/or SAP Joule for Consultants.
  • Familiarity with IDocs/APIs and integration with 3PL/warehouse/logistics systems.
  • Exposure to import/export, hubbing, manufacturing/logistics processes.
  • Experience with ITIL processes and tools such as ServiceNow (SNOW) and/or JIRA.
  • Experience coordinating with outsourced partners/vendors on delivery estimates and validation.
