Job Description
Winpak is seeking an ERP Release Coordinator to support release management, testing coordination, documentation, deployment readiness, and release communication activities for its Infor M3 environment.
This role will be focused on ERP release execution, with initial emphasis on Infor M3 monthly updates, service fixes, bug fixes, biannual feature releases, regression testing, TaaS coordination, business validation, and release evidence.
The successful candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable coordinating across IT, business leads, super users, Infor, implementation partners, application support resources, and testing participants. This role is responsible for executing the day-to-day coordination activities that keep ERP releases controlled, tested, documented, and ready for production.
Key Responsibilities
1. Release Planning & Coordination
- Maintain the Infor M3 release calendar, including monthly fixes, service updates, emergency patches, biannual feature releases, testing windows, deployment dates, blackout periods, and post-release validation activities.
- Coordinate ERP release activities across application support, business process owners, super users, implementation partners, Infor resources, TaaS resources, technical teams, and other stakeholders involved in release execution.
- Support the Manager, Application Support in preparing release plans, release schedules, release checklists, change records, deployment plans, post-release validation plans, and release readiness materials.
- Track release scope, impacted M3 modules, affected business processes, dependent integrations, test requirements, open risks, defects, decisions, approvals, and action items.
- Coordinate review of Infor M3 release materials, monthly fix information, biannual feature updates, known issues, and other release communications from Infor.
- Assist with impact tracking for M3 releases affecting manufacturing, product configuration, finance, costing, supply chain, procurement, inventory, warehouse, order management, security, reporting, integrations, MES, Movex, and related ERP processes.
- Prepare materials for ERP release meetings, release readiness discussions, support triage meetings, change reviews, and go/no-go preparation.
- Track action items and follow up with owners to ensure ERP release activities are completed on time.
- Coordinate release communications, including deployment notices, testing reminders, business-facing what-changed summaries, outage notices, release notes, and post-release updates.
2. Testing, Readiness & Validation
- Coordinate high-risk ERP testing activities, including regression testing, smoke testing, business validation, user acceptance testing, and post-release validation.
- Work with TaaS resources, internal application support resources, business leads, and super users to schedule test execution, collect results, track defects, and confirm test evidence is complete.
- Maintain test evidence, business signoff records, issue logs, defect lists, release approvals, deployment checklists, and post-release validation records.
- Support deployment readiness by confirming required approvals, test results, communication plans, deployment windows, support coverage, and rollback or contingency information are in place.
- Support post-release validation by coordinating smoke tests, collecting business confirmation, tracking issues, and ensuring defects are logged and assigned.
- Help distinguish release defects from support issues, enhancement requests, user training gaps, master data issues, configuration issues, integration issues, reporting issues, and vendor product defects.
3. Documentation, Metrics & Continuous Improvement
- Help ensure ERP-related documentation, support knowledge articles, UAPs, work instructions, known-issue lists, and support runbooks are updated when releases change application behavior or business processes.
- Maintain release metrics, including ERP release items reviewed, high-risk items tested, regression test status, test pass/fail results, open defects, post-release issues, emergency changes, missed approvals, and business signoff completion.
- Support continuous improvement of ERP release coordination, testing evidence, change documentation, deployment readiness, and post-release validation processes.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in ERP support, application support, release coordination, change coordination, QA coordination, IT project coordination, business systems support, or enterprise applications.
- Experience working with ERP systems or other business-critical enterprise applications in a structured IT, operations, manufacturing, distribution, finance, or supply chain environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage dates, tasks, dependencies, follow-ups, documentation, approvals, and multiple stakeholders.
- Experience coordinating work across technical teams, business users, vendors, support teams, and project or implementation resources.
- Strong written communication skills, including the ability to prepare release notes, meeting summaries, action logs, status updates, and business-facing communications.
- Strong attention to detail and comfort maintaining checklists, approvals, test evidence, issue logs, change records, and support documentation.
- Ability to work in an environment where formal ERP support and release processes are being developed and improved for the first time.
- Ability to understand business impact, prioritize follow-up, identify missing information, and escalate issues appropriately.
- Comfortable working with ticketing, project, testing, documentation, release, or change-management tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Infor M3, Movex, or another cloud manufacturing ERP system.
- Experience coordinating ERP releases, SaaS ERP updates, application releases, regression testing, or production deployment activities.
- Experience in manufacturing, distribution, supply chain, finance, warehouse, customer service, or plant operations environments.
- Exposure to MES, ERP integrations, EDI, APIs, reporting dependencies, master data, security roles, or financial close processes.
- Experience with ITSM or project tools such as SysAid, ServiceNow, Jira, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Planner, SharePoint, or similar platforms.
- Exposure to regression testing, UAT coordination, test evidence collection, business signoff, TaaS, or post-release validation.
- Familiarity with ITIL change, release, incident, or problem management concepts.
- Experience coordinating vendor support, managed service providers, software vendors, or implementation partners.
Key Competencies
- Highly organized and disciplined in follow-up.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation quality.
- Comfortable coordinating across business, IT, vendor, and implementation teams.
- Practical understanding of application support, testing, change control, deployment readiness, and post-release validation.
- Able to identify missing information, unclear ownership, incomplete testing, unresolved risks, and weak release evidence.
- Strong communication skills with business users, IT teams, vendors, managers, and super users.
- Calm and structured under deadline pressure.
- Comfortable working in an environment where formal ERP release management and application support processes are still maturing.
- Willing to build repeatable processes, templates, checklists, release artifacts, and documentation from the ground up.
