Own the global ERP functional template and configuration standard across Gas Power Global Supply Chain. This role is the functional authority for how business process standards defined by Global Process Digital Authorities are expressed in ERP configuration, ensuring that every site operates using the same template and that no configuration change deviates from the global standard without formal approval. Serves as the primary functional interface between DPE and the ERP technical team: translating business requirements into prioritized development requests, validating proposed solutions align with functional expectations, and governing the configuration lifecycle from requirement, deployment, adoption and maintenance. Success for this role will be measured by the adoption level of the agreed global configuration standards and the continuous harmonization of the configuration across the sites.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Global Template Ownership & Configuration Authority

• Own and maintain the global ERP functional template: the authoritative configuration standard that defines how business processes are expressed in ERP across all Gas Power manufacturing and supply chain sites.
• Develop review process and exercise formal approval and rejection authority over ERP configuration changes: no change affecting the global template or cross-site configuration standards proceeds without functional sign-off from this role.
• Partner with Global Process Digital Authorities to translate their process standards into ERP functional configuration requirements. GPDAs own the process standard; this role owns how it lands in the system.
• Define and enforce the configuration change management process: how changes are requested, evaluated against the global template, approved or rejected, communicated and implemented to affected sites.
• Maintain a living configuration change log and impact assessment register, ensuring full traceability of template decisions and their business rationale.

ERP Technical Partnership & Development Prioritization

• Serve as the primary functional interface between DPE and the ERP technical team: translate business and process requirements into clear functional specifications that the technical team can design and build against, for a new deployment or as part of Continuous Improvement.
• Own the DPE side of the ERP development backlog: collect and prioritize enhancement requests from GPDAs and functional leaders, apply consistent evaluation criteria, and represent the business case to the technical team.
• Validate that proposed technical solutions align with functional expectations before configuration begins. This role signs off on functional design, not technical implementation.
• Partner with the Master Data Governance team to ensure configuration decisions that affect master data fields, planning parameters, and integration mappings are aligned before changes are deployed.
• Lead the coordination with Digital Technology and site ERP teams on the configuration testing (including regression testing) and on the deployment sequencing of configuration changes, ensuring sites are prepared before changes go live.

Multi-Site Governance & Continuous Improvement

• Monitor configuration consistency across all sites: identify deviations from the global template, assess root cause, and drive corrective action through the appropriate channel, whether retraining, configuration correction, or template update.
• Govern the process for site-level configuration exceptions: when a site requests a deviation from the global template, evaluate the business case and approve only where justified by legal, regulatory, or customer-contractual requirements.
• Partner with the ERP & Digital Systems Training Leader to ensure training materials reflect current template configuration and that users are trained on the correct standard before and after changes are deployed.
• Maintain awareness of ERP platform evolution and upcoming releases: assess functional impact on the global template and proactively surface changes that require business decisions.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
• Significant experience in ERP functional configuration, business systems, or supply chain operations in an industrial or manufacturing environments
• Understanding of ERP configuration across materials management, production planning, and related supply chain modules in a multi-site manufacturing environment
• Proven ability to translate operational and process requirements into functional ERP specifications and to hold technical teams accountable to functional outcomes
• Strong influencing and facilitation skills across process owners, technical teams, and site leaders
• Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
• This role requires around 15% travel internationally

Desired Characteristics

• Demonstrated experience owning or governing an ERP functional template or global configuration standard, including change control processes.
• Familiarity with SAP and Oracle ERP in a manufacturing context.
• Experience with SAP migration or template harmonization programs across multiple sites or ERPs.
• Background in lean manufacturing or standard work; understands how ERP configuration decisions affect operational performance at the frontline.
• Experience managing an ERP development backlog or functional prioritization process in a complex multi-stakeholder environment.
• Comfortable operating as a decision authority in situations where stakeholders may disagree with the configuration ruling.
• Strong written communication and ability to formalize content clearly.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $122,600 USD - $204,400 The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

Bonus eligibility: 15% discretionary annual bonus.
