Company Background:

We are representing our client, a manufacturing of sheet metal products, supply of scaffoldings, and also engage in trading of steel materials and steel related products.

Position Title: ERP Application Consultant / IT Project Manager
Salary: Up to RM16,000 per month
Location: Based in Puchong (travel required to other operational sites within Malaysia)
Employment Type: 2-Year Contract
Working Hours: Monday – Friday (8:30 AM – 6:00 PM)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced ERP Application Consultant / IT Project Manager to lead and support enterprise system (ERP) implementation initiatives. This role will play a critical part in driving end-to-end ERP project delivery, working closely with stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional teams to ensure successful system deployment and adoption.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders, software vendors, and system integrators throughout the system implementation lifecycle
  • Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of ERP and related systems (e.g., MRP, WMS, MES, LMS), ensuring alignment with business objectives
  • Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, risks, and resources to ensure successful delivery of milestones
  • Gather and analyze business requirements across multiple departments and translate them into system solutions
  • Provide expert consultation and recommendations to address business challenges
  • Participate in system configuration, parameter setup, and integration with other enterprise systems
  • Deliver hands-on support in data migration, system integration, testing (SIT/UAT), training, and go-live activities
  • Drive user adoption and change management initiatives to ensure smooth implementation
  • Provide post-go-live support, continuous improvement, and system optimization

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in ERP implementation (functional consultant, implementation consultant, or project manager role)
  • Strong understanding of business processes, including Finance, Supply Chain, Warehouse Management, Procurement, QA, and Sales Order Management
  • Hands-on experience in ERP configuration and full implementation lifecycle
  • Strong knowledge of system integration, databases, BI tools, dashboards, and reporting
  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and stakeholders effectively
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2) is an added advantage

Additional Information

  • Involvement in a large-scale ERP implementation project, including multiple rollout phases
  • Opportunity to work on system integration across manufacturing ecosystems (e.g., WMS, MES)
  • Role requires both functional and technical hands-on involvement
  • Candidates will be involved beyond initial implementation, supporting ongoing enhancements and future rollout phases
