Scripture shows us that leadership is key to the kingdom of Heaven. In our model of Young Life that is campus-centric, having a team leader overseeing a team of volunteer leaders and connecting with key adults is the single greatest factor to the success or failure of Young Life ministry at that school. It is the team leaders job, first and foremost, to lead their team to do excellent Young Life ministry that is relational, incarnational, adventurous, and radical. They will treat their team of volunteers as Jesus treated his 12 disciples. They will spend time with their leaders, coach them, disciple them, and ultimately be their guide as they do ministry as an individual and as a member of a team.

Young Life is a world class organization for adolescents. Our staff and volunteers enter the world of kids, focusing on what matters to them -- fun, adventure, friendship and a sense of significance. In doing so, we earn the privilege of talking to them about something that we believe matters most of all -- the truth about God and His love for them.
