Expressions of interest are invited from substantive A3 grade colleagues to join the Records Management team which is responsible for managing the Scottish Government corporate record through the application of policies and rules relating to the Scottish Government Records Management plan approved by the Keeper of the Records.
In this role you will support, promote, and share best practice records management practices, contributing to continuous improvement and the enhancement of operational performance.
You will collaborate with teams across the organisation, to help enable the smooth and efficient delivery of services through robust records management practices.
Key Responsibilities
Administer the electronic records and document management system and provide guidance on good records management practice. This includes taking responsibility for managing the SG corporate record by applying the SG Records Management Plan and Policy.
Provide advice to customers on all aspects of records management, including responding to requests via approved corporate systems within defined service level agreements.
Promote awareness and encourage effective use of the electronic records and document management system, advocating for the preservation of the corporate record.
Familiarise staff with the SG information strategy ensuring that these principles are adhered to.
Work collaboratively within the team and across wider Scottish Government and its executive agencies to deliver a high-quality service, and escalating queries where appropriate.
