The Emergency Department Technician is responsible for the coordination of communications between nursing and ancillary services in participation in patient care. The Emergency Department Technician performs basic patient care and electronic record documentation tasks, under the guidance of the registered nurse and attending provider. The Emergency Department Technician interacts with patients, families, visitors and other staff members to ensure department efficiency within scope of practice and training. At times, the Emergency Department Technician may be responsible for timely and accurate patient registration processes. Incumbents must have a passion for customer/patient service excellence, team work and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent. Candidates with an active Montana Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with one year of experience and/or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) training will be preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
Medium - Lifting 50 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting/carrying up to 20 lbs.
