The Emergency Dept Tech I holds shift accountability for providing care to patients in accordance with RN direction, physician direction, and recognized techniques, standards of practices and hospital policy and procedures in the emergency department and related areas.
RESPONSIBILITIES
This position will support all the facilities in the market as needed. May require prior experience with IV insertion, blood draws and placing 12 Lead ECG's.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred: Graduate of an Emergency Medical Technician program.
Experience:
Preferred: Emergency Medical Technician experience.
Certifications:
Required: Current EMT-Basic (EMT-B) or EMT-Intermediate (EMT-I) certification; AHA BLS.
