Job Description

Jefferies is seeking an experienced associate to help assist in covering the midstream sector. Job duties and requirements include:

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for associate-level coverage of an array of midstream stocks
  • Build and maintain detailed company models
  • Stay on top of company news, track filings, listen to conference calls
  • Write first look notes, contribute to longer thematic reports, and company initiations
  • Field questions and communicate with sales and/or clients
  • Maintain relationships with company IR teams.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years experience covering midstream on the sell-side, buy-side, banking or consulting.
  • Experienced in FactSet and/or Bloomberg; knowledge of industry-specific databases also helpful.
  • Advanced Excel modeling and writing skills
  • Strong knowledge of accounting, corporate finance and energy-specific terminology/concepts

Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree
  • CFA or progression towards CFA preferred
  • FINRA Series 7, 63, 86 and 87 preferred (required within 5 months of hire)

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range of $135,000 - $175,000.

The salary offered will take into consideration an individual’s experience level and qualifications.
