The City of Auburn is seeking a collaborative and strategic Equity, Engagement, & Outreach Analyst for the City’s Office of Equity, Engagement, & Outreach department. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact both within the City and in the Auburn community. The Equity, Engagement, & Outreach Analyst will work across departments, build community relationships, lead and support projects, facilitate conversations, and help improve how the City engages and serves its community.
This position performs professional and analytical work in support of equity, engagement, and outreach programs and initiatives, including the development, design, coordination, and implementation of programs, policies, and practices aimed at advancing organizational equity and engagement goals. The position provides research, analysis, technical guidance, and recommendations to support Citywide programs and initiatives. Duties and assignments are broad in scope and include project management, planning, complex analysis, research, community and organizational engagement, facilitation, and administrative functions as required. Work will be performed in a dynamic environment that requires sensitivity to change and responsiveness to evolving goals, priorities, and needs.
The City operates as a Strong-Mayor form of Mayor-Council government, with a City Council of seven at-large members. The management team at the City of Auburn includes the Mayor and nine Department Directors from the following departments: Administration, Community Development, Finance, Human Resources, Innovation & Technology, Legal, Parks & Arts & Recreation, Police, and Public Works.
