Year End Bonus

To reward associates for their contributions to the company for the calendar year, Publix provides a Holiday Bonus in November. In the first year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to 15 hours of pay, and in the second year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to one week’s pay if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check. In subsequent years, the bonus is equal to two weeks’ pay.

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• at least one (1) year of experience in using basic mechanical/electrical skills, including diagnosing, light troubleshooting and minor repairs on all equipment being serviced
• valid driver’s license and excellent driving record
• at least 20 years old
• ability to communicate both verbal and written
• ability to work flexible hours, nights, weekends, holidays, and extended periods of time
• basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel)
• basic knowledge of Adobe Acrobat
• basic knowledge of Maintenance Management Systems such as SAP
• basic time management skills
• basic knowledge in food safety
• knowledge of electrical principles
• ability to manage time effectively
• willingness to travel to stores throughout the retail division, including nights, weekends and overnight stays as required
• willingness to be available on call 24/7 when an emergency arises

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in electrical motor control repairs from an Industrial Mechanical Trade school
• 2 years’ experience with mechanical/electrical troubleshooting and diagnosis
• knowledge of construction drawings and Bakery, Deli, and Meat production equipment specifications
• knowledge of trades including electrical, plumbing, brazing, mechanical and gas.
• intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel)
• intermediate knowledge of Adobe Acrobat
• intermediate knowledge of Maintenance Management Systems (SAP)
