Job Purpose

The Equipment Technician performs preventative maintenance and repairs on emission testing equipment, manages parts inventory, and ensures accurate documentation. This role provides essential support to station management and requires a proactive approach to operational excellence under the direction of the Systems Support Manager.

This is a full-time position; standard hours are 40 hours weekly.

- Daytime Technician Schedule: Monday thru Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM

Duties & Responsibilities

- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs to Emission Testing Equipment.

- Participate in company-provided training for the following equipment:

o Computers

o Peripherals

o Printers

o Gas Analyzers

o Dynamometers

o RPM Units

o OBD Units

o Bar Code Readers

o Pneumatics

- Perform parts inventory and requisition supplies as needed.

- Complete necessary paperwork and record all maintenance and repair activity.

- Provide station management with phone consultation regarding immediate equipment issues when not yet on-site.

- Other duties as assigned by management team.

Qualifications

Education & Work Experience

- Must be 18 years of age or older.

- Possess a current, active, and unrestricted Driver’s License.

- Basic knowledge of electronics and mechanics is preferred – but not required.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated ability to be a team player.

- Ability to build a good working relationship with station and HQ personnel.

- Ability to work efficiently and multitask in a fast-paced, busy shop environment with a smile and positive attitude.

- Commitment to working safely around operating motor vehicles.

Physical & Environmental Conditions

- Work is performed in an area with a high noise level.

- Exposure to exhaust fumes and extreme weather conditions.

- Ability to perform lifting of 75 lbs. from ground to chest level.

- Frequent walking, bending, and stooping.

The compensation for this role is $21.50/hr
