Job Duties

  • Locate and correct electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic machine problems.
  • Responsible for the preventive and general maintenance of all identified machines in an assigned zone area.
  • Designated as the first contact for machine repair related items in assigned area.
  • Work with Lead Tech on equipment updates and for direction on equipment problems.
  • Work with Group Leaders and Operators within production departments.
  • Find, order, or make parts required to fix machines.
  • Use lift trucks and other equipment to move, hook up, and level machines.
  • Keep records of machine problems and machine upkeep.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Read and understand electric, hydraulic, and machine prints and diagrams. Accurately diagnose machine problems and find best repair alternatives. Basic math (including fractions and decimals), reason, remember, analyze, problem solving, and troubleshoot.
  • Per 8-12 hr. shift (stand up to 7 hrs., walk up to 4 hrs., sit up to 1 hr.), frequently bend, squat, crawl, climb, reach above shoulder level, kneel, balance, push/pull. Frequently lift and carry from 0 to 40 lbs., occasionally 41 to 100 lbs. with the help of another person or lifting device. Must be able to hear, see, have good binocular vision, distinguish colors, do simple and firm grasping with both hands, use feet to operate foot pedals. Must be able to work in a moderately noisy environment that includes exposure to chemicals, bright lights, plant electrical voltages, solvents, and oil. Must be able to safely operate lift trucks and safely work in areas of lift truck traffic.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior maintenance experience preferred.



Earn an additional $1.50/hour for working 2nd or 3rd shift (4/10 work schedule), or an additional $5.00/hour for working weekend shift (3/12 work schedule).
