Equipment Sales Area Manager (Valle D'Aosta, Piemonte e Liguria)


Trane Italia is hiring an Equipment Sales Area Manager to join our team. In this role you will be responsible for developing trusting customer relationships and maximizing account share and customer retention with building owner accounts for the North West area (Valle D'Aosta, Piemonte e Liguria) . The role includes the responsibility to grow the business with the existing Agents, instrumental from a market penetration perspective.


Responsibilities:

  • Day to day selling activities i.e., identifying sales opportunities, qualifying them, partner with Application and Quotation for the proposals creation and presenting them to the customers, following up on them, negotiating price levels and terms and conditions within the company guidelines and assigned limits, acquiring orders.
  • Achieve assigned sales and customer development quota through focus on Commercial customer acquisition and development.
  • Collaborate with other departments and employees to develop the best total solution for the customer, addressing their requirements and continuously growing the level of customer satisfaction in the assigned territory, ensuring an overall superb customer experience.
  • Grow business with existing Agents and develop long-term Agent's relationships. Provide sales leadership around all sales processes and functions required for ensuring success of Agents Sales Forces.
  • Ensure effective collaboration and cooperation between Agents to offer the best total solution to the customer.
  • Encourage customer growth and loyalty through continuous support and customer assistance.
  • Develop contract proposals in line with company terms and conditions working together with legal.
  • Identify and communicate service opportunities.
  • Properly maintain and timely update all internal systems, including customer database, opportunity pipeline, etc. and regularly report to the management on key metrics.
  • Constantly monitor market trends and benchmark against competitors in the assigned territory, feed this information back to the management.
  • If necessary, prepare and participate in marketing activities, such as exhibitions, customer events, etc.
  • Act in compliance with the company policies, processes and procedures
  • Adhere to high ethical standards of doing business and unconditionally following the company Ethics and Compliance rules.


Requirements:

  • Technical Degree - Mechanical, Electrical, Energy or Aeronautic Engineering
  • Proven experience (at least 5/6 years) in technical sales, managing external agencies, preferably in HVAC area e.g., chillers, heat pumps etc.
  • Self-motivated candidate with a hunter mind-set and a willingness to overachieve sales target and build lasting relationship with customers.
  • Strong communication, collaborative mind-set and influencing skills, along with high integrity and capacity to deal with changing priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision, completing tasks with minimal guidance. Highly autonomous and organized, capable of working remotely and from home. The position includes 70% field trips within the specific area of responsibility.
  • Fluent Italian and communicative English
  • Preferably based around Torino area.
