A Day in the Life

As an EO Trainer, you will be certifying and training Equipment Operators on all functions related to equipment operations and safety.  

What does success look like in this role?

The ideal candidate is an accessible and approachable individual who is an active listener and has the creativity to explain topics in a fun and engaging way. This person is patient and can adapt their training delivery style according to how the learners are responding. Training doesn't stop in the classroom. The ideal candidate will provide ongoing coaching to Equipment Operators to ensure maintenance with NRI Safety Program.

  • Able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, including new hires, to build rapport and facilitate a positive experience at NRI.
  • Ability to work flexible hours to support multiple shifts is a plus.

The Must Haves:

  • Must have 12+ months of training experience, preferably in a warehouse environment.
  • Must be proficient with or willing to learn Microsoft 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, and SharePoint).
  • Must be willing and able to Operate all narrow aisle forklifts and powered pallet trucks.
  • Must successfully pass and receive certification as an Equipment Trainer.

Things You Will be Doing

  • Certifies all new Equipment Operators and re-certifies all existing operators.
  • Provides training, cross-training, and retraining in individual or group settings for new employees and temporary associates.
  • Aid in creating the training methods, program, and continuous improvement projects.
  • Coach, counsel, and inspire employees to not only meet but exceed required production goals.
  • Observe employees to determine the effectiveness of the training process and to identify if any additional training requirements.
  • EO Trainer will be accountable for supporting safety observations of EO's.
  • Document each training process and provide follow-up for refresher training courses for employees who are not meeting the goal.
  • The Trainer must report any unsafe acts to the Operations Supervisor and People Experience.
  • Maintain a training record for all EO's and temporary EO's and all training documentation.
  • Scan and submit all original training documents to the Training Supervisor via email.
  • Provide feedback to the Training Supervisor in ensuring all SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) are current.
  • Performs other duties as requested
