Job Description

Using a Forklift safely, accurately and productively unload, load, and move material throughout the facility. Also responsible for the safe, accurate and efficient tasks of putting product away, replenishing pick locations and the removal/transport of empty pallets throughout the facility.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Ensures all safety processes are adhered to during trailer unloading /loading (e.g. physically chock trailer tire and lock trailer out).
  • Monitor pallet area, observing empty pallet positions.
  • Using either a stand-up reach truck, pallet rider, dock stocker or sit down forklift, transfers pallets of received parts to the aisle where there is an empty pallet position.
  • Reports all inventory problems to lead personnel (e.g. physically empty position that PKMS shows as containing a part).
  • Verify count/part number of all pick from reserves.
  • Transfer parts to a pallet location if reachable by vehicle being used.
  • Performs all inventory movements utilizing PKMS.
  • Participate in Physical Inventory
  • Fulfill responsibilities under ISO 9001 and 14001; understand and fully support IS0 system.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  • Understand and follow company rules and regulations.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned and required.

Look for improvements continuously, and go the extra mile to present a complete and polished finished product. Monitor quality levels, find root cause of quality problems, own/act on quality problems.
  • Work Environment/Safety Promote mutual respect, keep workplace clean and safe, and support safety programs.
  • Teamwork Meet all team deadlines and responsibilities, listen to others and value opinions, help team leader to meet goals, welcome newcomers and promote a team atmosphere.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.
  • Good communication skills; must be able to read and understand English.
  • Ability to do basic math; add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
  • One year experience in driving a reach truck or forklift in a warehouse environment and have proper certification.
  • Experience in PKMS preferred but not required.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
