Job Role

The Equipment Manager (Food Manufacturing) is responsible for overseeing the reliability, performance, and continuous improvement of manufacturing equipment across production operations. This role ensures that equipment management systems, maintenance strategies, and engineering initiatives effectively support production efficiency, operational safety, and long-term manufacturing objectives.

Working closely with production, engineering, maintenance, and leadership teams, the successful candidate will lead equipment management programs, supervise engineering personnel, establish preventive maintenance strategies, manage equipment investments, and drive continuous improvements to maximize equipment availability and operational performance.


Key Responsibilities


  • Implement and ensure compliance with corporate equipment management policies, standards, and engineering procedures across manufacturing operations.

  • Establish, maintain, and continuously improve equipment management systems and engineering processes.

  • Develop annual equipment maintenance plans, capital expenditure budgets, equipment upgrade initiatives, and modernization programs.

  • Lead, supervise, coach, and evaluate the performance of equipment engineering and maintenance teams.

  • Ensure manufacturing equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably to support production targets.

  • Develop preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime and minimize operational disruptions.

  • Monitor equipment performance, analyze maintenance data, and recommend continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Lead equipment risk assessments, emergency response planning, and corrective action implementation to minimize production downtime caused by equipment failures.

  • Collaborate with production, quality, engineering, procurement, and other cross-functional teams to optimize manufacturing processes and equipment utilization.

  • Support equipment installation, commissioning, upgrades, and engineering improvement projects as required.


Candidate Requirements


  • Associate's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.

  • Minimum 3–5 years of professional experience in equipment management, maintenance engineering, or manufacturing engineering within the food and beverage industry.

  • Experience supporting overseas manufacturing operations or international production facilities is highly preferred.

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing equipment, maintenance management systems, preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, and equipment lifecycle management.

  • Proven experience leading engineering or maintenance teams within a manufacturing environment.

  • Strong knowledge of equipment reliability, manufacturing operations, workplace safety, and continuous improvement methodologies.

  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.

  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities with the capability to coordinate effectively across multiple departments.

  • Highly responsible, adaptable, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining high operational and professional standards.

  • Professional working proficiency in English is required. Proficiency in Vietnamese is highly preferred to support day-to-day communication within local operations.
