The Experience You’ll Create

The Equipment Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the vending, markets, and OCS equipment shop, including in-house refurbishment, equipment inventory control, install readiness, and coordination of equipment movement for installs, removals, and swaps. This role leads installers and refurbishment technicians, supports lead technicians as a technical and operational resource, partners with procurement on equipment ordering, and ensures refurbished and new equipment is prepared accurately, safely, and on schedule to support customer needs and business priorities.

Shift: Monday - Friday 6:30 AM to 4 PM

  • Oversee the vending, markets, and OCS equipment shop, directing the day-to-day work of installers and refurbishment technicians to meet production, installation, and operational priorities.
  • Direct the daily production of equipment refurbishment, ensuring units are cleaned, repaired, tested, staged, and completed to company standards and customer-ready condition.
  • Maintain oversight of equipment inventory, including available units, refurbished equipment, equipment awaiting repair, retired assets, and equipment staged for upcoming installs, removals, or swaps.
  • Schedule and coordinate equipment installs, removals, swaps, deliveries, and shop preparation activities in alignment with customer needs, route readiness, sales commitments, and operational deadlines.
  • Partner with procurement to order new equipment, replacement units, small wares, and related resources based on inventory levels, project needs, growth plans, and upcoming installation requirements.
  • Serve as an operational and technical resource for lead technicians, installers, and refurbishment technicians by helping resolve equipment questions, prioritizing work, and removing roadblocks.
  • Coordinate equipment readiness for vending, markets, and OCS projects, including staging, asset verification, quality checks, and communication with internal stakeholders before deployment.
  • Monitor shop workflow, labor allocation, turnaround time, refurbishment volume, and installation preparation to ensure efficient use of people, equipment, and space.
  • Support safe work practices in the shop and in the field, ensuring equipment handling, repairs, loading, unloading, and installation preparation follow company safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate records related to equipment status, inventory movement, install schedules, removals, swaps, refurbishment progress, and productivity updates.
  • Communicate clearly with operations, sales, procurement, service leadership, and other internal teams regarding equipment availability, project timing, constraints, and completion status.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Ingredients for Thriving

  • Relevant experience in equipment management, refurbishment, installation coordination, warehouse/shop operations, or related field.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to direct installers, refurbishment technicians, and shop workflows in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Working knowledge of vending, market, and OCS equipment, including basic diagnostics, refurbishment requirements, install preparation, and asset readiness standards. (preferred)
  • Experience managing equipment inventory, tracking asset movement, scheduling work, and coordinating multiple priorities across shop and field teams.
  • Ability to partner effectively with procurement, operations, sales, service, and leadership to align equipment availability with business needs.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize urgent installations, removals, swaps, and production requirements.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, JIRA, and relevant inventory, scheduling, dispatch, service, or asset management systems. (preferred)
  • Solid understanding of safe equipment handling, loading, unloading, repair, shop production, and installation preparation practices.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to meet company background, driving, and safety requirements as applicable.
  • Operationally focused, organized, and able to balance daily production needs with installation deadlines and inventory requirements.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and commitment to improving refurbishment quality, shop flow, asset readiness, and equipment utilization.
  • Collaborative leadership style with the ability to support lead technicians, guide technicians, and coordinate effectively across departments.
  • Commitment to safety, accountability, customer readiness, and operational excellence.

Location(s) & Logistics:

  • Ability to lift/move up to 75 to 100 pounds.
  • Perform tasks involving bending, standing, manual dexterity, climbing into trucks, reaching, walking, twisting, loading, unloading, and moving equipment.
  • Work in shop, warehouse, customer site, and field installation settings with exposure to moving equipment, hand tools, electrical components, forklifts, material-handling activity, and production areas.
  • Travel to nearby branches or customer locations as required to support installation readiness, personnel coverage, equipment movement, and operational priorities.
