Equipment Planning and Coordination
• Manage and evaluate all project equipment requests from construction and field teams.
• Determine the most effective equipment solution, including rental, transfer, or company-owned assets.
• Coordinate with Purchasing and Contracts teams to process rental requests, rental extensions, purchase orders, vendor communications, and off-rental actions.
• Ensure equipment availability aligns with project schedules and operational requirements.
• Collaborate with field supervision and project leadership to adapt equipment resources to evolving construction demands.
Equipment Tracking and Inventory Management
• Maintain a comprehensive site-wide equipment tracking system that includes:
• Equipment description and serial number
• Current location
• Assigned crew or supervisor
• Operational status
• Work area assignment
• Track and monitor equipment movement throughout the project to ensure assets can be quickly located and effectively utilized.
• Maintain accurate equipment records, including rental agreements, utilization reports, service history, inspections, damage reports, and rental start/end dates.
Equipment Maintenance and Reliability
• Schedule and coordinate preventive maintenance, inspections, repairs, and service calls.
• Conduct or arrange routine equipment inspections to identify potential issues before they impact operations.
• Coordinate maintenance activities around project schedules to minimize disruption to critical work activities.
• Investigate equipment failures and operational issues, coordinate troubleshooting efforts, and ensure timely return to service.
• Monitor repair status and follow through until equipment is fully operational.
Rental and Off-Rental Management
• Review equipment requests to verify appropriate equipment type, size, and anticipated rental duration.
• Submit rental requests through established procurement processes and monitor approval status.
• Monitor equipment utilization regularly to identify opportunities for rental reductions or off-rental actions.
• Coordinate with field supervision to verify equipment is no longer required before initiating off-rental.
• Facilitate off-rental requests with Purchasing and equipment vendors.
• Track and document off-rental dates, equipment pickup status, and return requirements.
• Ensure equipment is inspected, cleaned, and prepared for return in accordance with vendor requirements.
Cost Control and Utilization Management
• Monitor equipment utilization daily to identify underutilized, idle, or duplicate equipment across work fronts.
• Analyze utilization data and recommend adjustments to improve efficiency and reduce rental expenses.
• Verify rental charges and equipment billing accuracy.
• Ensure timely processing of off-rentals to avoid unnecessary charges.
• Support project cost control initiatives by maximizing equipment efficiency and preventing avoidable rental costs.
Safety and Compliance
• Ensure all equipment complies with project safety requirements, manufacturer recommendations, and applicable regulations.
• Maintain inspection and maintenance documentation in accordance with company and project standards.
• Partner with Safety and Operations teams to address equipment-related concerns and corrective actions.
• Promote safe equipment operation and accountability among supervisors and operators.

Market Rate Statement: The market rate for the role is typically at the mid-point of the salary range; however, variations in final salary are determined by additional factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, relevant years of experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
