Starting pay: $15/hour, 20-25 hours/week Mon-Fri (summer)
12-18 hours/week Mon-Fri (school year)
Valid driver's license and car with good sized trunk are required, mileage reimbursement available.

Mad Science of Hampton Roads has been delivering educational and entertaining science programs for elementary-aged children since 2008. We are looking for a self-motivated, detail-oriented, and reliable team player that would like to join our team in the role of Equipment Manager. You will be working in a fast-paced environment. Your main work location will be our office in Chesapeake, but some driving to other locations is required.
Responsibilities
  • Ensures kits/equipment are in good condition for all programs
  • Oversees and conducts equipment check-in and check-out procedures
  • Ensure all chemical products are properly labeled and stored
  • Serves as a substitute instructor when needed
Qualifications
  • Completes background check

  • Car and valid driver's license
  • Minimum of 20 years old and 2 years of college, OR equivalent experience in a similar position
Hours
  • Flexible schedule within company's standard working hours (Mon-Fri, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm)
  • Typically 20-25 hours/week in summer; 12-18 hours/week during the school year
  • Typical schedule would be a minimum of 3 days/week, maximum of 5 days Mon-Fri
  • Each shift of 4-6 hours, such as 8:30 am - 12:30 pm, or 10 am - 4 pm

Compensation: $15.00 per hour
