Job Description

  • Position: Equipment Management Specialist
  • Location: Houston, TX
  • Hours: Monday-Friday, 8a-5p

Essential Functions:

Appropriately documents, tracks and cleans equipment and related accessories; coordinates and schedules equipment delivery and service provided to PHS clients.

  • Schedules and coordinates equipment delivery and service.
  • Uses a variety of methods, provides on-going communication and problem resolution of equipment issues to patients, families, and company personnel.
  • Participates in compliance efforts and quality improvement initiatives by performing a variety of audits and processes.
  • Identifies and recommends improvements or procedural changes within Biomedical Department.
  • Performs “to do” processes, discontinues and transfers.
  • Works collaboratively with the clinical department to ensure equipment is exchanged, repaired, delivered, maintained, and retrieved in a timely manner.
  • Coordinates on call deliveries/exchanges and apprises clinical staff and managers of weekend needs.
  • Cleans and processes equipment and related accessories per company policy and manufacturer’s recommendations.
  • Completes equipment processing-related documentation, including administrative and data entry responsibilities.
  • Assists in maintaining a proper inventory of parts and accessories.
  • Coordinates equipment and supply donation process.

The majority of the clients we serve are age’s birth through 21 years old and have a variety of technologies that might include a trach, ventilator or g-tube.
