Job Summary

The Maintenance Technician I is responsible for performing routine maintenance, basic repairs, and

preventive upkeep of production equipment, machinery, and building facilities. Working under close

supervision, the technician learns and applies company policies, procedures, and safety protocols to

complete assigned tasks. This position requires mechanical aptitude, a willingness to learn, and the

ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance on production machines, laser machinery, and building facilities after proper training.
  • Assist with preventive maintenance tasks and maintain maintenance schedules for equipment.
  • Perform light carpentry, plumbing, and general repair work as needed.
  • Assemble, test, and adjust equipment as instructed.
  • Follow and comply with specific safety protocols and maintenance procedures.
  • Learn to read and interpret basic diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and work orders.
  • Identify and organize parts and maintain an inventory of tools and supplies.
  • Report faulty operations, defective materials, or unusual situations to supervision.
  • Use basic hand tools, power tools, and material handling equipment safely and correctly.
  • Keep work areas clean, orderly, and in compliance with safety regulations.
  • Support grounds maintenance and other assigned duties as directed by supervisor.

Requirements

Education / Certifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude or interest in mechanical work (experience in an industrial setting is a plus).
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds, withstand repetitive motions, and perform physical tasks with stamina.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and follow instructions.
  • Willingness to learn and develop skills in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to use good judgment, be a team player, and maintain a positive attitude.
