Job Description

onsemi is searching for an Equipment Maintenance Technician to support the Assembly and Test Operations. Responsible for the preventive maintenance activities including the ability to troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, and maintain the operations of production tools. The Equipment Maintenance Technician ensures equipment and systems are running efficiently and at optimal capacity to meet manufacturing demands. This position will report to the Manager of Equipment Engineering

  • Responsible for Equipment Maintenance encompassing tools used in assembly of Electronic Modules such as Pick and Place tools, Furnaces, Ovens, Inspection stations, lithography tools, wet benches, Encapsulation, Saw and Final Test.
  • Responsible for maintaining high equipment uptime.
  • Plan and perform Preventative Maintenance and calibration activities on time.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for all unscheduled downtime and any defective product resulting from equipment problems.
  • Support new installations and implementation and advancement of TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) concepts.
  • Create daily reports (pass-down) of work carried out, documentation for SOP, PM/Calibration procedures, and equipment improvements.
  • BOM management (Spares management, Prepare New Store Items Request, Purchase Requisitions for required parts, follow up on a delivery of spare item)
  • Champion Safety, Quality job performance as well as maintain safe/clean conditions in work/storage areas.
  • Post-secondary education with a technician diploma or a bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in the Equipment Maintenance in a semiconductor industry.
  • Good mechanical/electrical troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly, effectively, and in a timely manner.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact as a team player.
  • Demonstrated good judgment and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
  • Flexible working variable shifts based on business and training needs.
  • Semiconductor cleaning room, health and safety and chemical handling are required.

onsemi is excited to share the base salary range for this position is $32.50/hr to $35.25/hr Range plus health benefits. The final pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on geographic location, skills, education, experience, and/or consideration of internal equity of our current team members.
