Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pouch Cell Battery Manufacturing Equipment Maintenance Engineer to join our R&D team and provide expert maintenance support for our state-of-the-art pouch cell battery manufacturing equipment. As a Pouch Cell Battery Manufacturing Equipment Maintenance Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the uptime, reliability, and efficiency of our equipment, directly contributing to our cutting-edge battery development endeavors.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive preventive maintenance (PM) tasks on pouch cell battery manufacturing equipment, including meticulous cleaning, lubrication, and thorough inspection of critical components such as electrode coating machines and drying ovens.

  • Proactively troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions, promptly identifying and resolving issues to minimize downtime and ensure seamless production flow.

  • Implement and adhere to stringent maintenance procedures and protocols to maintain equipment in optimal condition, ensuring the highest levels of precision and performance.

  • Collaborate closely with R&D engineers to gain a deep understanding of equipment specifications, operational requirements, and potential failure modes.

  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of maintenance activities, including repairs, replacements, and spare parts inventory, ensuring complete traceability and efficient resource management.

  • Participate actively in the development and implementation of comprehensive maintenance plans and schedules to optimize equipment performance, longevity, and overall cost-effectiveness.

  • Stay abreast of the latest technological advancements and emerging trends in pouch cell battery manufacturing equipment, continuously enhancing knowledge and expertise.

  • Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and promote a culture of workplace safety within the R&D facility, minimizing potential hazards and ensuring a safe working environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field with a strong focus on battery technology.

  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in maintaining pouch cell battery manufacturing equipment in a fast-paced, high-volume R&D environment.

  • In-depth understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, coupled with proficiency in PLC programming and troubleshooting.

  • Comprehensive familiarity with various types of pouch cell battery manufacturing equipment, including electrode coating machines, drying ovens, calendering machines, and pouch cell formation systems.

  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to diagnose complex equipment issues, analyze root causes, and implement effective solutions.

  • Proficient in using maintenance software and tools, including CMMS systems and data analytics platforms.

  • Impeccable communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team, effectively conveying technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel.

  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively under pressure, and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
