Job Description

Bargreen Ellingson is looking for a hardworking, mechanical inclined Equipment Installer to join our Boise branch! This role provides excellent customer service by installing kitchen equipment and making prompt and courteous deliveries of customer orders when needed. They also perform general warehouse duties and customer assistance as needed. They are expected to perform all job responsibilities in a safe, timely and efficient manner.

Starting pay is $20 per hour, with opportunities for increases based on performance and experience.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Delivery and set up of equipment. (As needed). Includes uncrating, loading, and set-in-place installation (no plumbing or electrical).
  • Services may include leveling, installing shelves, drilling, cutting holes, and finishing with silicone.
  • Occasional overnight/weekend work.
  • Load truck accurately and safely for customer deliveries.
  • Unload truck as needed at customer and/or branch locations.
  • Drive company vehicle to make customer deliveries and stock pick-ups, obeying traffic laws and safety procedures.
  • Maintain appropriate licensing credentials and acceptable driving record.
  • Conduct self in a professional and ethical manner at all times. Treat external and internal customers and associates with courtesy and respect.
  • Fill customer orders by retrieving material from the warehouse and other locations.
  • Check in and put away material, verifying quantities and quality of received material. Maintain clear isles and walkways. Ensure material is properly organized.
  • Assist in maintaining appearance of branch as needed. Clean warehouse and work area regularly.
  • Know location of merchandise in warehouse. Keep material organized and put away.
  • Answer customer questions and provide information requested.
  • Continuously update product knowledge. Stay informed and educated as to product inventory and applicability. Know location of merchandise in warehouse.
  • Report back orders or discrepancies.
  • Perform cycle counts as required following through on discrepancies as needed.
  • Assist in performance of year-end physical inventories for various branch locations.
  • Perform all duties in a safe and responsible manner, following all safety rules. Inform manager of any potentially hazardous conditions.
  • Perform other responsibilities as directed.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Successful completion of pre-employment screenings (including background check and drug screen)
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid state driver license with clean driving record (no CDL required)
  • Must be 18 years or older, 21 and older to enter some of our customer locations.
  • Flexible work schedule (which may include nights, weekends, holidays, and long hours) and regular attendance is necessary with possibility for mandatory overtime.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
  • Desire to succeed in a high growth, fast-paced retail environment.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Mechanically inclined, with the ability to use hand and power tools.
  • Previous experience in moving, construction or finishing work is a plus.
  • Clear communication with team members, project managers, and customers
  • Maintains a professional image, and is always thoughtful, neat, and courteous.
  • Positive attitude, reliable, dependable, and punctual
  • If assigned a vehicle over 10,001 pounds, a DOT Medical Card is required before starting.

Physical Requirements:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands and arms to finger, handle, feel, or carry; reach with hands and arms.
  • Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance or stoop; kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Frequently required to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
  • Constant use of hand truck to lift, move and place deliveries.
  • Must be able to safely tolerate heat or other inclement weather.
