Purpose of the Position:

  • Lead equipment engineering team to drive equipment engineering excellence, provide equipment engineering solutions to operations and provide technical support on day to day operations.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

• Lead mechanical and controls engineering group to provide engineering solutions to support plant daily operations.
• Drive, implement plant continuous improvement goals in cost, capacity, delivery and quality.
• Lead or provide appropriate support on process issues investigation and analysis, solutions and permanent corrective actions implementation.
• Stay informed on new technology transfer at equipment engineering that can be built in to improve plant performance and productivity.
• Plan, direct, or lead projects to ensure effective implementation – achieving objectives, completing on time and controlling budget.
• Provide immediate supervision to subordinates to execute assignments using established guidelines, procedures, and policies.
• Review team performance and provide feedback to team members, and provide coaching as needed.
• Build effective relations and interactions with internal customers and stakeholders.

Education & Experience - Required

• BS or higher degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation or equivalent.
• 10+ years working experience in related industry.
• 8+ years supervisory experience.
• Solid project management experience preferred.
• Work experience in multi-national companies preferred.
• Equipment engineering, manufacturing systems and technical expertise.
• Supervisory Skills.
• Rational thinking – analytical, decisive, take balanced risk, predict potential problems.
• Ability to use of data and metrics to improve performance.
• Project management skills.
• Have good understanding of ceramic manufacturing process and rich experience in product introduction and process improvement.
• Fluency in oral and written English.

Education & Experience - Desired

  • Green Belt.
  • Track record for MEE/PEx project leadership.
