This work spans Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrumentation & Control disciplines, and applications are welcomed from engineers with experience in any or all of these fields.

This role offers the opportunity to develop in-depth knowledge of EPR design and operation, to lead and enact pragmatic decision making on a daily basis, and to work within a fast-paced, high-profile project environment.

  • Provide a decisive escalation route for deadlocked issues and act as a catalyst for innovative optioneering
  • Work with programme and technical teams on prioritisation and emerging scope topics, maximising the efficiency and value of delivery
  • Undertake global risk management, understanding risks across the project and maintaining up-to-date risk tracking
  • Undertake specific risk management, bringing escalating issues back under control by putting in place mitigation plans and working with technical and programme teams
  • Advocate for pragmatic decision making that respects the overall aims of the project, producing and driving delivery-focused mitigation plans for risks and issues
  • Maintain a strong focus on optioneering and governance decisions, ensuring these are fit for purpose and made at the right level
  • Manage the provision of engineering services for the HPC project, achieving suitable technical outcomes with a focus on value engineering and optimisation
