The Opportunity

This position works out of our Lake Mary, FL location in the Abbott Heart Failure, Acelis Connected Health business. Our Heart Failure solutions are helping address some of the World’s greatest healthcare challenges.

We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Equipment Customer Service Representative to join our team supporting Abbott Heart Failure's Acelis Connected Health business. This role is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service while managing equipment, accessory, and wound care supply orders. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

As a key member of the team, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers, and vendors, ensuring timely order processing, accurate documentation, and resolution of customer inquiries while maintaining compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory requirements.

What You'll Work On

  • Respond to customer and client inquiries promptly and professionally, documenting all interactions in internal databases.

  • Process equipment, accessory, and supply orders and preventative maintenance requests in accordance with company procedures.

  • Generate and manage sales orders within Salesforce and other operational systems.

  • Monitor reports and proactively follow up on open orders to ensure completion.

  • Coordinate with vendors regarding order status, shipping, delivery confirmation, and returns.

  • Track deliveries and update customer records accordingly.

  • Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of all activities and customer interactions.

  • Escalate complex issues as appropriate to ensure timely resolution.

  • Identify and communicate workflow improvement opportunities.

  • Resolve or report order, shipping, or customer service issues.

  • Perform outbound calls regarding order updates, shipping delays, missing information, and other service-related matters.

  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, PHI requirements, and all applicable regulatory, privacy, and security standards.

  • Represent the organization professionally while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma

  • Minimum of one year experience in a customer service role or equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Basic computer and clerical skills

  • Flexibility and the ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team

  • Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and oral) with team members, clients, caregivers, clinicians and referral sources

  • High degree of attention to detail in a high volume environment

  • Good planning and organizational skills, including ability to meet deadlines

  • Problem Resolution and follow-up skills

  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to operate a computer and use the operational software used by the office along with Microsoft Office

  • Working knowledge of Brightree software desired

The base pay for this position is

$17.15 – $34.25/hour
