What we’re looking for
To establish the management process/procedure on New Construction related Equipment and Component (E&C) quotation and plan approval and ensure continuous improvement of the process/procedure, work with TSO discipline team to monitor and manage E&C quotation and plan approval tasks, provide client-facing/remote support to external and internal clients, collaboratively work with TSO discipline team, TSO planning and coordinate team and TSO quality team to establish high-quality, market driven and consistent E&C quotation and plan approval services, and work with MEC commercial manager to closely interact with E&C makers to monitor the market trends and explore business opportunities and manage joint development project and approval in principle projects.

The role
To establish and optimize the management process/procedure on New Construction related Equipment and Component (E&C) quotation and plan approval
Work with area New Construction Portfolio Manager, TSO Planning and coordination team and TSO discipline team to monitor and manage New Construction related E&C quotation and plan approval on daily basis
Be the interface to external and internal MEC related stakeholders in order to 1) effectively and efficiently coordinate resource to solve the service problems 2) collect feedback to continuously improve working process/procedure
To monitor developments in the industry and competitors work and work with commercial team to explore business opportunities
To manage E&C joint development projects (JDP)and approval in principle project (AiP) to develop LR’s Rules and regulation and contribute to improving Lloyd’s Register’s competitive position and the development of key selling point capabilities.
What you bring
A degree or equivalent from a tertiary organisation recognised by Lloyd’s Register within the relevant field of engineering or physical science (minimum of two years programme) or Qualifications from a marine or nautical institution and relevant sea-going experience as a certificated ship’s officer.
Membership of an appropriate professional institution.
Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status.
Proficiency in the English Language commensurate with the work.
Demonstrable good understanding of the Project Management process, gained through experience and training.
Extensive experience in technical service operations and client interaction.
Proven track record in plan approval processes or technical audits.
Strong technical knowledge in relevant disciplines (Structure, Statutory, Engineering, Electrical and control engineering ).
Excellent communication and client engagement skills.
Good ability to mentor and coach technical specialists.
Good Problem-solving and process optimization capabilities.
Good understanding on business environment, competition, supply chain and market forces from a commercial perspective
Good ability to build a strong business case behind proposals, weighing up costs, benefits, risks, issues, and return on investment without compromising on health & safety
