Job DetailsJob Location: Arnold Oil Company Equipment - Houston, TX - Houston, TX 77055Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: Not SpecifiedSalary Range: $20.00 - $22.00 HourlyThis position reports to Team Leader – Equipment. Equipment Tech I will assist Equipment Tech II in manually installing and/or repairing heavy automobile lift equipment and other associated equipment. Employee is exposed to elements as is present in the environment, as most sites are not equipped with central heat or air conditioner.
The primary job functions include, but are not limited to:
Installing new and used automobile lift equipment and making any associated repairs
Installing and repairing lubrication dispensing equipment, which includes grease, oil, automatic transmission fluid and hydraulic oil tanks, pumps, reels, meters, piping and fluid inventory management systems
Installing and repairing compressed air systems, which include compressors, dryers and plumbing systems
Driving a company-owned service vehicle with toolboxes
Repairing most equipment located in an auto repair facility
Maintaining a satisfactory attendance record and appearance
Maintaining a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, work stations and shipping supply areas neat in the warehouse
Complying with all OSHA and company safety procedures, rules, and regulations
Use of tools, such as, wrenches, hammers, socket sets, screwdrivers, hammer drills, hydraulic hose press, pliers, vice grips, pipe wrenches, and pipe threaders
Operating a forklift when required
Performing other duties and assignments as directed by management
QualificationsThe skill requirements include, but are not limited to:
Continually walking, lifting, carrying, grasping, reaching, stooping and crouching
Frequently climbing and descending stairs and ladders
Ability to lift a minimum of 60 lbs. weight continuously
Ability to read and write in English
Provide hand tools (company will provide large power tools)
Ability to drive automatic and manual transmission to drive company vehicles
Must successfully complete background and criminal history check
Must pass a physical, human performance evaluation test and a drug test
Must maintain regular and prompt attendance
Attitude that supports the Company’s goals and values
Education Requirements:
High school diploma or GED is preferred, but not required
Certification Requirements:
Company approved driver list (if employee is to operate vehicle)
Company forklift certification (if employee is to operate forklift)
