Coordinates and supports equipment repair and meter lab operations by scheduling work, assisting supervisors and technicians, and ensuring resources are available to meet business needs. Manages procurement and inventory of materials, tools, and equipment while maintaining efficient stock levels. Develop strong relationships with internal teams, vendors, and suppliers to support operational continuity. Leads and supports projects, monitors purchasing activities, and ensures timely material availability. Contributes to organizational learning initiatives by assessing training needs, supporting development efforts, and reporting on progress. Performs routine administrative duties and provides general operational support under supervision.

Equip. Maint. Fac/Meter Lab Coordinator:

What You'll Do:

  • Schedule, work performed by mechanics in equipment repair facilities and meter activities in the meter lab; work with supervisors, mechanics, and meter operations employees in performance of assigned duties, providing assistance as required.
  • Coordinate and procure materials, equipment, and tools; manage inventory of spare parts and equipment necessary to support repair and meter activities.
  • Coordinate the acquisition and maintenance of meter inventories in a manner to keep inventories to a minimum, including procurement of proper material, tools, and equipment as required for the installation of measurement facilities and distribution controls.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with operating company personnel, associated business development customers, support vendors, and internal/external material suppliers.
  • Communicate and implement an organizational learning strategy.
  • Conduct needs assessments for business, employee and leadership training.
  • Forecast, analyze and plan for learning and training needs based on organization demographics.
  • Consult with management and employees on learning and training needs.
  • Prepare and communicate monthly reports on learning strategy measures.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with Procurement and Vendors to ensure that material is available to support construction/maintenance needs of Business Unit.
  • Works under supervision.
  • Lead, facilitate and support projects as identified by management
  • Monitor open purchase requests and/or purchase orders to proactively identify material that will need to be expedited and/or alternately sourced.
  • Under immediate supervision, perform basic, routine administrative duties, follow well defined, standard procedures, assist with document processing, assist in compiling special reports and request information from other areas, assist in filing and retrieval of information in both hard copy and electronic formats, answer telephone, take messages, communicate via electronic mail as necessary.

What We're Looking For:

Education requirements are listed below:

  • Associates degree in business, electrical, electronic, mechanical technology, or equivalent education and/or experience.

Work Experience requirement listed below:

  • Three years' experience in the equipment repair facility processes and/or measurements, engineering, meter labs, or the equivalent in knowledge and experience.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must exhibit skills pertaining to leadership, supervision, team building, and safety.
  • Must have experience in the administration of shop, meter lab, engineering, and business matters using Excel, Access, Power Point, Word, Maximo, Workday and PeopleSoft Finance.
  • Some travel required.
