Could you be the full-time EPU Manager - E Block Frame & Loom Line in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your leadership and operational expertise in a cutting-edge manufacturing environment. You’ll work alongside a dynamic and motivated team of professionals.

You'll play a critical role in driving performance, quality, and continuous improvement within the E Block Frame & Loom Line. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with cross-functional teams (such as engineering, quality, and supply chain), oversee the implementation of Alstom Performance System (APSYS) tools, and ensure the smooth functioning of production operations.

You’ll specifically take care of deploying lean manufacturing principles and managing shopfloor teams, but also focus on improving Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery (SQCD) metrics.

We’ll look to you for:

• Deploying APSYS tools and methodologies across the shopfloor
• Training operators on manufacturing processes and self-inspection techniques
• Planning and managing workforce proactively in coordination with cross-functional teams
• Monitoring and driving SQCD performance of the EPU
• Resolving internal and external demerits through containment, root cause analysis, and structured problem-solving
• Tracking, analysing, and improving SQCD KPIs through continuous improvement actions
• Escalating issues in a timely manner using appropriate tools and reporting systems
• Implementing product and process changes as required (CR/ECR/DR/Retrofit)
• Driving issue closure and sustaining improvements through robust action plans

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Automobile, or related disciplines)
• 5+ years of experience in assembly industries such as automotive, railways, commercial vehicles, or other manufacturing sectors
• Shopfloor team management experience
• Hands-on exposure to lean production systems and foundational supply chain concepts
• Experience with PDCA, SWIP, and structured problem-solving methodologies
• Strong familiarity with production and quality tools, including control plans, PFMEA, and work instructions
• Excellent leadership, coaching, and team motivation skills
• Effective communication and coordination abilities with cross-functional teams
• Flexibility to work in a shift-based schedule, including availability to work 6 days a week
