40The Epic Technical Manager leads the design, implementation and support of the technical architecture for the Epic environment. Provides leadership to the Epic Technical Team including, but not limited to, strategic technical guidance, project management, personnel management and optimization for the Epic solution. Coordinates production and non-production hardware and software support for the Epic infrastructure including servers, network, storage, backup, operating systems, virtualization platforms, and desktop devices. Oversees Epic security administration, disaster recovery planning and implementation requirements for the Epic infrastructure. Partners with the Epic and Enterprise Architecture teams to ensure efficient functionality and performance.
Education:
Bachelors degree required.Management: 3 years of experience in a supervisory or management level role; ability to demonstrate strong leadership within matrix teams. Healthcare/Business: Expert knowledge of healthcare industry. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Health Care environment preferred. Information Technology: Minimum of 8 years of experience in information technology required. Expert knowledge of networks, virtual desktop, server operating systems, EMC SAN storage technologies, VMWare Server Virtualization, and overall infrastructure design and architecture. Epic: Prior experience implementing Epic Systems preferred. Experience with security administration and security provisioning.Project Management: Proven track record of successfully delivering projects on-time and on-budget. Epic - Overview of Implementation. Certification/Licensure:
Epic certification required ECSA or Epic Security, within 6 months of employment. Microsoft certification is a plus. PMP/Project Management Certification preferred.
