RESPONSIBILITIES
Supports the operationalization of Epic across University Health campuses. Leads end‐user training using the curriculum approved by principal trainers. Develops training documentation that is approved by Principal Trainer. Assists in maintaining Epic Training Class Schedule and corresponding attendees. Facilitates Clinician/end user efficiency sessions, one-on-one meetings, and department-based sessions. Credentialed trainer also provides at the elbow support and collects valuable feedback from end users report that information to the principal trainer. Credentialed Trainer will represent Epic in operational meetings as needed. Reviews new application enhancements/upgrades and assists in development of implementation plans. Individual must maintain a good working relationship with co-workers and other UHS staff and perform other duties as assigned or defined in the performance evaluation and in the UHS policies and procedures.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in information technology or other work related field is required. Experience in Epic application systems. Experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not required. Work experience may be substituted for formal education requirement. Knowledge and application of adult learning principles. Proficient in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Excellent customer service skills. Highly effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to establish working relationships that foster optimal quality teamwork and education. Strong organizational skills in managing multiple priorities. Preferred: Understanding and interpreting clinical and non-clinical workflows, processes, and terminology in order to translate information into educationally sound training content.
