Position Overview

CereCore is seeking an experienced Epic Cogito Business Intelligence & Data Analyst to support healthcare organizations with the development, optimization, and support of Epic's enterprise analytics and reporting environment.

The Epic Cogito Analyst will work closely with clinical, operational, financial, and IT stakeholders to understand reporting and analytics requirements, translate business needs into technical solutions, and develop meaningful data-driven insights. This position will be responsible for supporting Epic Cogito applications, data models, reporting tools, and analytics solutions while helping organizations maximize the value of their Epic data.

The ideal candidate will have strong Epic Cogito experience, an understanding of healthcare data and workflows, and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Support, maintain, and optimize Epic Cogito analytics and reporting solutions.
  • Partner with business, clinical, and operational stakeholders to gather and document reporting and analytics requirements.
  • Analyze complex healthcare data and translate business requirements into effective reporting and analytics solutions.
  • Develop, modify, and maintain Epic reports, dashboards, metrics, and analytical content.
  • Work with Epic Cogito data models and reporting structures to support enterprise analytics needs.
  • Troubleshoot reporting, data, and application issues and provide timely resolution.
  • Perform data validation and quality assurance to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability of reporting.
  • Collaborate with Epic application analysts, data engineers, database teams, and other technical resources.
  • Participate in system upgrades, enhancements, testing, optimization, and new functionality implementations.
  • Assist with data mapping, requirements gathering, workflow analysis, and documentation.
  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, data quality, and analytics capabilities.
  • Provide recommendations to stakeholders regarding reporting solutions and the effective use of Epic data.
  • Develop and maintain technical and functional documentation.
  • Participate in project planning, status meetings, testing, and implementation activities.
  • Support end users and provide education or knowledge transfer when appropriate.
  • Stay current with Epic Cogito functionality, healthcare analytics best practices, and emerging reporting requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Healthcare Informatics, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Epic Cogito Certified
  • 3+ years of experience working with Epic Cogito, healthcare analytics, business intelligence, or related Epic reporting technologies.
  • Experience working within an Epic environment and understanding of Epic data structures and workflows.
  • Experience supporting analysts working on Radar, RW or Slicer Dicer
  • Experience with Referrals, Revenue or Patient Access data models
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience gathering requirements and translating business needs into technical reporting solutions.
  • Strong SQL and/or healthcare data analysis experience.
  • Experience with Power BI
  • Experience developing or supporting reports, dashboards, metrics, or other business intelligence solutions.
  • Understanding of healthcare data, clinical workflows, and operational processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with technical and business stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Epic Clarity and/or Caboodle experience.
  • Experience with Epic Reporting Workbench, Radar, Slicer Dicer, or other Epic reporting and analytics tools.
  • Experience with SQL Server, SQL, ETL, data warehousing, or data integration technologies.
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other business intelligence platforms.
  • Experience supporting Epic implementations, upgrades, optimizations, or conversions.
  • Healthcare provider, hospital, or health system experience.
  • Experience working in a consulting environment with multiple clients or projects.
  • Strong understanding of clinical, financial, and operational healthcare data.
