The Epic Client System Administrator supports, configures, and maintains Epic Client
Systems to ensure reliable access to Epic applications across clinical and operational
environments.
I. Major Responsibilities
Install, configure, and maintain Epic components including Hyperspace, Interconnect, EPS, Web BLOB, MyChart, CareLink, Rover, Haiku.
Support daily operations of Epic client systems and web/service servers.
Troubleshoot system issues, performance problems, and integration failures.
Participate in cloud migration tasks including endpoint updates, IRIS reinstall support, Kuiper and System Pulse operations.
Collaborate with technical leads, application teams, and infrastructure teams.
II. Position Qualifications
License/Certification/Education:
Required:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Epic certifications: Hyperspace Deployment, Web/Service Servers (Hyperspace Web, MyChart, Interconnect, Web BLOB, BCA, EPS).
Experience/Skills:
Required:
2+ years in Healthcare IT in an Epic Client Systems role.
Technical expertise in Windows Server, Epic client distribution tools, and web/service servers.
Strong analytical troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
Effective communication and collaboration with clinical and technical teams.
Ability to document procedures, configurations, and operational playbooks.
Adaptability in fast‑paced healthcare and cloud‑migration environments.
Advanced troubleshooting skills for Epic client systems and Windows Server environments.
Proficiency with scripting (PowerShell) for automation and system management.
Strong understanding of Azure, virtual infrastructure, and cloud‑hosted workflows.
Ability to manage client distribution tools and web/service server architecture.
Experience supporting clinical and operational teams in a healthcare environment.
Strong documentation skills for technical procedures and operational workflows.
Ability to work in fast‑paced, rapidly evolving technical environments.

Preferred:
Experience with Citrix VDI, Cisco UCS, Azure, Layer 2/3 networking.
