EPIC Application Analyst II

 The Epic Application Analyst II supports the design, build, testing, validation, maintenance, and ongoing support of Clinical or Revenue Cycle applications. Under guidance from senior analysts and team leads, this role assists in system configuration, troubleshooting, and end-user support to ensure effective use of the application. The analyst collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, gaining exposure to clinical, financial, and operational workflows while contributing to system optimization and user experience improvements.  

Qualifications

 Minimum Education
Bachelor's Degree Bachelor's degree from a recognized college or university with major course work in computer science, Information Technology, engineering, or equivalent related experience. (Required)

Minimum Work Experience
3 years Three (3) years of experience in the analysis, design, build, testing, and maintenance of Epic EMR or other EMR applications, with a strong understanding of healthcare workflows related to electronic medical record systems. (Required)
3 years Preferred: Working knowledge and subject matter expertise in the assigned operational department area. (Preferred)

Functional Accountabilities

  • Responsible for the design, build, testing, validation, maintenance, and ongoing support of Clinical or Revenue Cycle applications.
  • Collaborates with interdisciplinary workgroups to achieve team goals and optimize system functionality.
  • Develops intermediate knowledge of system capabilities, applications, and workflows to effectively educate and support end users.
  • Participates in routine meetings with department leaders and/or superusers to identify, document, and prioritize system needs.
  • Provides technical support services, troubleshooting and resolving system-related issues.
  • Supports Epic and other applications through software maintenance, break-fixes, optimizations, special updates, upgrades, and implementations.
  • Conducts assessment, coordination, documentation, release note review, testing, and implementation of programming, upgrade, and project requests.
  • Provides on-call coverage as scheduled, ensuring timely resolution of system issues.
  • Follows prescribed change management, time reporting, and documentation processes to ensure compliance with organizational policies.
  • Responds to support calls within designated timeframes, prioritizing issues and providing regular updates until resolution.
  • Documents and communicates system support, status updates, and issue resolutions clearly and effectively.
  • Maintains current Epic certifications and participates in new version training to stay up to date with system enhancements and best practices.
