POSITION: Extracurricular Title I Elementary Private School Interventionist
Buckhannon Christian Academy Served by Upshur County Schools Title I
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Private School Principal and Director of Curriculum
FLSA STATUS: Exempt
EMPLOYMENT TERM: This position will be effective for the 2026-2027 School year
and utilized ongoing, as long as need and funding permits.
SALARY: Employment in this position is contingent upon funding availability and staffing needs.
Work hours and assignments will be provided on an as-needed, as-funded basis.
For the 2026-2027 School Year: Not to exceed 512 hour at $25/hr
EVALUATION: Performance in this position will be evaluated by the Private School Principal/Director of Curriculum
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Current West Virginia Elementary Education Certification and/ or a Master's Degree in Reading K-12 or Remedial Reading
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain accurate reports and documentation required for Title I to be submitted in a timely
manner.
Perform such other tasks and assume responsibility as the immediate supervisors may from
time to time assign related to support the identified Title I students and families.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to reach, stand, walk, lift, grasp, write, talk, hear, see, use technology such as computers and multi-media equipment, and use repetitive motions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may frequently lift and/or move at least 10 – 20 pounds of materials. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision such as to read handwritten or typed material, the ability to adjust focus. The position requires the individual to meet multiple demands from several people and interact with the public and other staff members.
