Job Description

Clean Harbors is looking for LOCAL Labourers within 1 hour range from the city to join our team in Sudbury ON

This position requires the candidate to safely perform labor tasks including, but not limited to - confined space entry working in vessels or tanks, rigging in and out, working at heights, high-pressure water blasting up to 40k PSI and assisting with job site preparation.

  • Shift rotation is 7-7 but subject to change
  • Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
  • Assisting the Operators in the safe operation of all units;
  • Ensuring the job site placement of the unit is safe, stable and secure;
  • Completing all required paperwork on a daily basis;
  • Rigging equipment in and out;
  • General clean up and maintenance of units upon completion of the job;
  • Provides high levels of customer service with internal employees and external clients.
  • Perform all basic tasks assigned to a laborer including using hand tools (shovel, rake, vacuum hose, and pressure washer), mastering equipment operation, assisting operators with all job duties.
  • Pre/Post Trip inspections; performing field level risk assessments; setting up equipment, ensuring proper usage of equipment, performing general duties required to complete work (Debris removal, clean up, set up, etc.).
  • Class G Driver's License required;
  • May be required to provide a 3-year driver’s abstract with no more than 3 demerits.
  • Previous site experience is an asset.
  • Must be willing to work in Confined Spaces and at heights performing labor-intensive tasks;
  • Previous Vacuum Truck and/or High-Pressure unit operating experience is an asset;
  • Previous labor-intensive experience;
  • Safety Tickets preferred (i.e., H2S Alive, ESC Fall Protection, ESC Confined Space Entry);
  • Common Safety Orientation required prior to onboarding.
  • Willing to work for extended periods 10-14 hour shifts
  • Flexibility to work day or night shift as required;
  • Mechanical background (preferred)
