Job Description

Wood is currently inviting expressions of interest for a Senior Integrity Engineer to join our team in Abu Dhabi. This is a client secondment role supporting one of our major energy sector clients, with an assignment duration of three years.

The Senior Integrity Engineer will support the delivery of integrity engineering activities as part of a broader asset integrity management programme for a major operating client in the UAE.

The role will be responsible for undertaking integrity assessments, supporting RBI and FFS studies, developing technical deliverables and providing engineering expertise to multidisciplinary teams involved in the operation and maintenance of oil and gas facilities.

The successful candidate will be embedded within the client's organisation and will contribute to the ongoing integrity, reliability and performance of critical production assets.

  • Deliver integrity engineering studies and technical assessments for client operating assets.
  • Support development of integrity management strategies and inspection programmes.
  • Participate in Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) studies and methodology development activities.
  • Support Integrity Operating Window (IOW) development and implementation activities.
  • Review asset integrity threats, degradation mechanisms and inspection requirements associated with process facilities and pipelines.
  • Develop technical reports, engineering recommendations and integrity management deliverables.
  • Contribute to Fitness-for-Service (FFS), Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and asset life extension studies.
  • Participate in site visits, integrity reviews, technical workshops and stakeholder meetings.
  • Liaise with multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective implementation of integrity recommendations.
  • Ensure compliance with client requirements, applicable codes, standards and industry best practice.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Metallurgy, or related engineering discipline.
  • API 580 certification.
  • API 571 certification
  • API 510, API 570 or API 653 certifications advantageous.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years' experience in integrity engineering, inspection or asset integrity management within oil and gas or related industries.
  • Experience supporting integrity management and inspection programmes.
  • Practical knowledge of Risk-Based Inspection (RBI), Fitness-for-Service (FFS) and asset life assessment methodologies.
  • Experience supporting Integrity Operating Window (IOW) programmes and integrity management systems.
  • Familiarity with API, ASME, ISO and DNV standards relevant to asset integrity management.
  • Ability to prepare engineering reports, assessments and technical recommendations.
  • Experience working with operating assets and brownfield facilities.
  • Previous experience supporting National Oil Companies (NOCs), major international operators or operating assets within the Middle East preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
