Based out of Brisbane’s CBD, you’re first assignment will be to support a major greenfield rail project in South East QueenslandThis next stage of work involves delivering new dual-track rail, tunnels, stations and stabling infrastructure, a largescale expansion that will help shape the region’s long-term transport network.

About the role

As a Senior Engineer – Mechanical, you’ll support the delivery of mechanical design across the project, ensuring systems are safe, compliant and aligned with project requirements. You’ll work closely with senior engineers and design teams to develop and coordinate mechanical systems across both early-stage design and ongoing delivery

This is a hands-on role where you’ll contribute to design development, support technical delivery and work across complex rail systems, building your experience on a major project from day one.

Key responsibilities

  • Support mechanical design across the project, from concept through to delivery.

  • Prepare and review design documentation, calculations and specifications.

  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to support integrated design outcomes.

  • Ensure compliance with standards, safety requirements and project specifications.

  • Contribute to technical problem solving and continuous improvement.

About you

  • Experience as a Senior Mechanical Engineer on rail projects.

  • Strong background in mechanical design within complex environments.

  • Experience supporting design and delivery phases on major projects.

  • Knowledge of mechanical standards and compliance requirements.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
