Gold Fields is a globally diversified gold producer with nine operating mines in Australia, South Africa, Ghana, Peru, Canada and Chile.

Gold Fields' mining assets in the Australia region include St Ives, Agnew, Granny Smith and Gruyere gold mines.

Our Opportunity:

Gold Fields Australia is currently seeking Process Operator to join their Processing teams across our Western Australian operations.

• St Ives – Residential in Kambalda or Kalgoorlie
• Gruyere – FIFO from Perth on an 8/6 7/7 Roster
• Granny Smith – FIFO from Perth on an 8/6 7/7 Roster
• Agnew - FIFO from Perth on an 8/6 7/7 Roster

As a key member of the site operational team, you will be responsible for operating the processing plant and associated equipment in a safe, productive and efficient manner, to maximise plant performance without effecting the environment or health and safety of personnel.

What you will be doing:

• Operation of all processing plant equipment relating to Crushing, Grinding, Gravity, Leach, Adsorption, Elution, and Tails Storage Facility.
• Operate the process control systems.
• Identify and diagnose items that require preventative maintenance or repair.
• Maximise plant and equipment efficiency during production.
• Recommend and implement improvements to plant output and efficiency.
• Safely operate IT loader, bobcat, forklift, and power tools.
• Develop and maintain and adhere to procedures to ensure timely, consistent, and efficient execution of mining plans.

About you:

• Previous operating experience in a gold mineral processing environment. Applications from individuals with operating experience in other commodities will be considered.
• Sound knowledge of processing methodologies and equipment including Citect control system.
• Strong focus on safety, and a commitment to following company policies and processes.
• Computing skills in word processing, spread sheets and databases.
• Possess a valid driver’s licence.
