Auckland Airport is inviting Expressions of Interest (EOI) for the position of Senior Project Manager (PM) to join our dedicated team overseeing a portfolio of complex and high-impact projects. Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage large-scale projects with significant impact on airport operations and customer experience.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, integrating various functions and teams.
  • Engage with a diverse range of stakeholders, including government bodies, contractors, and airport services, to align project objectives.
  • Monitor and report on project status to senior leadership, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Utilize advanced risk management techniques to anticipate potential challenges and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by optimizing processes and applying lessons learned from completed projects.
  • Act as a mentor and leader within the project management team, promoting best practices and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in project management, particularly in large and complex infrastructure projects.
  • Strong leadership qualities with a proven track record of managing diverse teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of project management frameworks and methodologies (e.g., Agile, PMBOK).
  • Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to solve problems proactively.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective stakeholder management.
  • Experience with budget planning, financial tracking, and resource allocation.
  • Relevant project management certifications (e.g., PMP, Prince2) are highly preferable.
