About the work:
Downer holds the contract for installing, maintaining, and upgrading Sky TV consumer services. The operating model is a hybrid approach utilising both internal and Owner Operator technicians to carry out the work. This is your opportunity to get involved and become an Owner Operator with Downer.
As an Owner Operator, you will own a New Zealand company, receive work assignments from our internal dispatch team, and be responsible for managing all installations and service calls related to the Sky TV contract.
To undertake on behalf of Downer New Zealand:
installation of set top boxes, satellite dishes, cabling and related equipment at the homes and premises of customers;
repair and maintenance; and
collection of surplus equipment and cabling from the premises of commercial customers,
ensure a positive relationship with our customers
What we are looking for:
Minimum two to three years technical skills, experience working ideally with Sky products; such as dish and decoder installations with subsequent cabling
Experience in installing and servicing Sky products
Your company will be required to hold Public Liability and Commercial Motor Vehicle insurances, as determined by Downer
Your own vehicle with a current rego & WOF, as well as a full unrestricted New Zealand driver licence is essential
Excellent verbal communication, ability to relate to people at all levels and ensure positive relationships with customers are created and upheld
Demonstrate outstanding customer service abilities
Strong ownership and commitment
Lateral, strategic thinking and problem solving
