The opportunity

The Executive Project Director – Water Infrastructure would provide senior leadership across a major portfolio of water infrastructure projects, working closely with our client, delivery partners and multidisciplinary teams.

Essential

Significant experience within the water sector 15 -20 years’ experience, ideally encompassing desalination, treatment, large networks, wastewater, storage or other major water infrastructure.

Requirements of the role

  • Providing strategic leadership across a large and complex portfolio of water infrastructure projects.
  • Leading multidisciplinary teams across project management, engineering, commercial, procurement, project controls, risk and stakeholder engagement.
  • Overseeing projects from early planning and development through design, procurement, delivery, commissioning and handover.
  • Establishing effective governance, assurance, reporting and decision-making frameworks.
  • Providing oversight of cost, schedule, risk, performance and commercial outcomes.
  • Managing critical dependencies, interfaces and emerging risks across the program.
  • Developing trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders, government, regulators and delivery partners.
  • Creating a strong culture focused on safety, collaboration, accountability and performance.
  • Ensuring operational and whole-of-life requirements are considered throughout project delivery.
