About the role

The Cybersecurity Analyst plays a hands-on role in protecting the organisation’s information assets. Operating in a co-managed security model, you will act as the on-site security focal point, bridging internal IT teams and the Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP).

You will drive incident coordination, proactive threat hunting, execution of security controls, and contribute to the continuous improvement of security practices. You will also lead small uplift initiatives and support the implementation of new controls and platforms.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and remediate complex security incidents
• Support the smooth adoption of new security platforms without disrupting operations
• Coordinate effectively with MSSPs in a co-managed Security Operations Centre (SOC) environment
• Apply security controls consistently across hybrid Microsoft and AWS environments
• Balance incident response responsibilities with leading uplift initiatives and new control implementations
• Build awareness and articulate risks to non-technical stakeholders
• Collaborate with diverse IT and business teams
• Stay current with evolving threats and vulnerabilities

About You

• Degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or Business, or equivalent practical experience
• Experience in IT support or junior cybersecurity roles
• Knowledge of manufacturing and distribution environments will be highly regarded
• Industry certifications are desirable, e.g. CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Security Operations Analyst, CISSP, CEH, CISM
• Hands-on exposure to enterprise security platforms (SIEM, EDR, vulnerability management, secure web gateways)
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 E5 suite, Azure, and AWS environments
• Flexibility to occasionally work outside standard business hours in response to significant security incidents or urgent investigations
