Job Description

Construction Operations Manager

Auckland Airport is delivering a significant capital works programme and with construction now well under underway we’re looking for a Constructions Operations Manager. The purpose of this role is to ensure that contractors, consultants and stakeholders’ work in the field is properly planned, resourced and coordinated within airport operations. They will support safe, timely and cost-effective quality delivery, while maintaining a high standard of passenger safety and experience, and operational effectiveness.

What You’ll Do:

· Maintain close contact with stakeholders directly affected by the works and ensure planned and well communicated alignment between stakeholder operations in the field and construction works and vice versa.

· Monitor, coordinate and expedite where necessary, interface activities necessary to facilitate the contractor’s work.

· Link the design team to the construction execution and vice versa.

· Ensure the site inspection and observation approach for the project is being appropriately implemented.

· Review site inspection records prepared by the construction monitoring team.

· Support the Project Manager/Director to ensure that the construction team is delivering the appropriate standards required for the project.

· Assist the construction team with access to Auckland Airport and site-specific information where necessary.

· Champion the health, safety and environmental performance of the project.

What you’ll bring to the role:

· Bachelor of Engineering or Construction or similar is desirable.

· 15+ years of experience, construction management experience on complex infrastructure and or civils projects.

· Expertise in large scale brownfields civil and roading projects.
