About the Opportunity
headspace Hawkesbury is seeking Expressions of Interest from passionate and experienced clinicians interested in joining our Primary Care team.
We are recruiting for one full-time fixed-term position and are open to appointing at either:
• Youth Access Clinician – Level 1 or Level 2 | Starting salary from $37.60 per hour
• Senior Clinician – Level 3 | $48.23 per hour
This is an exciting opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary youth mental health service supporting young people aged 12–25 years. You will play a key role in providing assessment, engagement, brief intervention, care coordination, and referral support to young people accessing headspace services.

headspace Hawkesbury is part of Australia’s National Youth Mental Health Foundation, providing early intervention services to young people aged 12–25. Our multidisciplinary team delivers support across mental health, physical health (including sexual health), alcohol and other drugs, and work and study.

Uniting as the lead agency delivers community-based mental health services across NSW, supporting people through person-centred, trauma-informed, and recovery-focused care.
Key Responsibilities
• Engage and support young people accessing the service
• Undertake comprehensive psychosocial assessments
• Provide evidence-based interventions appropriate to the role level
• Facilitate referrals and service coordination across internal and external providers
• Develop collaborative care plans with young people and their support networks
• Work closely with GPs, psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and other stakeholders
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and clinical review processes
About You
Approved tertiary qualifications and professional registration as one of
◦ Registered Nurse with AHPRA
◦ Occupational Therapist with AHPRA
◦ Psychologist with AHPRA
◦ Social Worker with eligibility for AASW membership
You will bring:
• Experience working with young people experiencing mental health challenges
• Strong assessment, engagement, and intervention skills
• Knowledge of youth mental health and recovery-oriented practice
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Current Working with Children Check and NSW Driver's Licence (or ability to obtain)
